Grandma and Grandpa Margheim are here

August 14th, 2008

Penelope was so excited today, her Grandma and Grandpa Margheim arrived.  Penelope is ready for 2 weeks of spoiling!!

On the Leyna front, she was also super excited that they’re here.  She’s already been up to the park, and they even brought her presents- 2 new frisbees!

I love strawberries!!

Unfortunately, I thought it would be a good idea to put Penny on a red couch for the picture, not the best idea…

Sweet Pea’s First Playdate

August 11th, 2008

This morning we went to my friend Rikki’s for Penny’s first playdate.  Penelope got to hang out with the boys- Jack who is almost 5 months old and Jona who is 2 months old.  She was sad though that Isadora had decided not to join us yet (Camilla’s due in 2 weeks)!  Everyone loved her Dr Seuss shirt- thanks Tia Karin!!

I used to be the baby

Today I was taking some pics of Penelope lying on a pink blanket on the floor and Leyna was sitting by me watching.

I went and put Penelope down when we finished and came back to find-

Leyna posing for her photo session too!  I think Leyna has been feeling a little neglected since Penelope has come home (though she was much happier when my parents were here and taking her to the park). Note the sad look in her eyes.  Luckily for Leyna she has Steve’s parents coming soon to give her some TLC!

Always hard to say goodbye…

August 10th, 2008

Lisa’s folks left us at the end of July, and we’ve been so sad that we just couldn’t bring ourselves to post on Penelope’s blog since then.

We really enjoyed having them here, they were an amazing help around the house and with Penelope, and it was great for Penelope to be around her grandparents.

It is always hard when it comes time for our families to leave, and Penelope has made it that much more difficult. Luckily, it won’t be too long before we see them again.

One last hug for Gramps.

One last kiss for Grams.
