You learn something new everyday
For instance, the oldest tree in West Hartford is right down the street from my parent’s house. Who knew!
And on the way, you can find some beautiful flowers!
A little Wed night music
On Wed night while Grandpa Tom was at a meeting, Grams, Penny and I went to the center to walk around, do a little shopping and hear a band play in the square. Penny had a wonderful time shaking her little booty to the music while Grams and I watched on. The pictures don’t do it justice, but we all had a wonderful time.
A smorgasbord
Here are some more pics from Steve’s visit, plus some from today. For Steve’s last day here in WH, we just spent the day together relaxing. We strolled down to the center, walked around and went shopping, went out to lunch and then came home for a swim. We had a great day and Penny will be very sad when she wakes up in the morning and realizes her daddy has gone.

The whole enchilada
I am happy and proud to announce that my daughter LOVES mexican food. We went out to eat the other night and Penny ate a whole chicken enchilada! She loved it! We’ve been having a wonderful time here in the states, my good friend Rachel came to visit for a week and as you know Steve was here as well. We are so sad that he’s leaving in the morning but are also very jealous that he gets to go to Hawaii. Maybe Penny will get some cute hawaiian wear, hint hint!

Mini golfing!
A couple of nights ago, after Grandpa Tom and Grams got home from work, we all headed out to play some mini golf. Penny had a great time sitting in her stroller watching us play and cheering us on. Grandpa Tom won, Dad and Grams tied, and Mom came in a distant last…We can’t wait to go again!

Peach Pickin’ with Penelope
On Saturday morning, Grams and Grandpa Tom took Penelope and I to an orchard for some peach and apple picking. Penelope had a great time and even picked a couple of peaches herself. Penny also got to listen to some nice bluegrass music at the mini-festival at the orchard. Penny and I loved the orchard. Thanks Grandpa Tom and Grams!

All’s Fair in Fairfield
On Friday, Mommy went off to Boston, so PJ and I drove down to Fairfield to visit Cara, Joel, and little William. It was so nice being able to hang out with them again! We got to try some of Joel’s homebrew (fantastic), and play out in the yard while Joel (with some help from Penny) worked on his hanging hops garden. Penny had a great time and really likes to hang out with William. So much fun!

Day Trippin’ to Philly
Last Thurday, Lisa, Penny, and I heading down to the Philly area to visit Alan, Janet, Ella, and Nate. Lisa had just spent over a week with them at the end of July, but I really wanted to get down there and see the whole family, especially since I hadn’t had a chance to meet Nate until then. We had a great day with the MacDonalds. We went out to lunch (cheesesteaks!) and dessert (Maggie Moo’s!!), and all played outside their wonderful new home. It was a shame that I could only see them for an afternoon, but when you live so far away, you take what you can get! There are also more pics over at their blog.

Down at the Park
I’ve been taking just about every opportunity of my short stay in West Hartford to hang out with Penny. On Tuesday, Penny and I walked down to the park to play. Unfortunately, all the equipment was far too hot for PJ. However, we had a blast in the cool shadows of all the trees in the park. Penelope loves to run around and pick up leaves and sticks. She also loves to share them with everybody. Penny loves the park!
