Grandma would be proud

February 11th, 2010

Some of my fondest memories growing up are of my Grandma Foley.  My grandma was the perfect hostess.  Always nicely dressed & hair perfect with an apron on, entertaining visitors.  We spent many hours in her kitchen, and I still miss her every day.  Unfortunately, Penny was never able to meet her, but I’ve been able to keep some of her things to pass on to Penny when she is older.  I found one of her aprons the other day, so I decided to put it on Penny and she loved it!  She went running into my bedroom and found a pair of my shoes to wear with it.  I know Grandma would have loved seeing Penny play dress up!

I agree. She (and Beth) would have been the new sparkle in her eye. She’d be baking them cookies and telling them stories about her as a little girl in Washington DC (Depot CT, that is)! I can hear her now.

I know she would love Penny just as much as she loved you and Karin. You were very special Grandaughters to her.
