A walk and talk with Penny
Penny- Kitty!!!
Mom- What does a kitty say?
Penny- mmm-owwwww
Mom- Where is the kitty?

Penny- (running towards kitty) “go go go go go”

Penny- (follows cat around corner and is found holding something in her hand) “Caca! Caca!”
Mom- No Penny that’s a leaf

Penny finds a stoop to sit on “mama, mama” ”sit” she says as she pats the ground next to her.

It’s always fun exploring with Penny!
Filed under PJ | Comments (5)Now that Penny is a little girl
she’s started helping out with chores. Her daily chore (though she loves doing it) is taking care of Leyna in the morning. She lets her out, gives her a treat and feeds her breakfast. What a good little helper!!

Penny is singing her clean up song as she picks up the food “reen rup reen rup”

Pretty Penny
was a hit at the beach this morning. Penny especially liked the fresh pineapple and peach juices that we drank on the beach. She looked beautiful in the dress the Grams and Grandpa Tom got her in Paris. Thanks!!!

Penny’s 1 1/2 year check up
went great! She weighs in at 25 lbs and is 32.5 inches (2 ft 8 in).

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Our internet has been spotty, so we haven’t been able to update in a while. So, happy belated valentine’s day to all. Here’s what we did last weekend-
Penny played-

Went to the zoo (again)…

Made cookies-

Played poker (mommy won!)-

We had a great weekend together and can’t wait for this weekend to come!
Filed under PJ | Comments (3)Speed bump
Last evening Penny and I along with a few friends met to talk about putting a speed bump in near our house. Penny and Jona had a great time walking around with us thought they quickly got bored and decided to stand on Jona’s deck and observe the meeting (also, they were much closer to the food there). In the end, we decided on putting a speed bump in between our house and Jona’s to help slow the traffic. Which is a good thing, as Penny got out the other day and I found her in Jona’s driveway!

(Penny pointing to where the bump will be, best pic I could get…)

Grandma would be proud
Some of my fondest memories growing up are of my Grandma Foley. My grandma was the perfect hostess. Always nicely dressed & hair perfect with an apron on, entertaining visitors. We spent many hours in her kitchen, and I still miss her every day. Unfortunately, Penny was never able to meet her, but I’ve been able to keep some of her things to pass on to Penny when she is older. I found one of her aprons the other day, so I decided to put it on Penny and she loved it! She went running into my bedroom and found a pair of my shoes to wear with it. I know Grandma would have loved seeing Penny play dress up!

“Go Papa!!”
Penny and I went and cheered on Steve at his first football game on Tuesday. Steve’s team won, and Steve did great!
