Last Friday, after much discussion, Penny eagerly awaited a visit by the binky fairy. Penny was a little apprehensive about giving up her binky (which she only used for sleep), but she decided she was a big girl and it was time. She helped make a note for the binky fairy and then placed it on her bedside table with her binkies and some cookies (her idea). She was thrilled when she found a present where she had placed her binkies. A fairy outfit!!
If you are wondering how she is doing, she is doing great without the binkies. From the first night on, she was able to sleep through the night, with just a few tears shed at bedtime. Naptime was a little more difficult, but she seems to be fine now. What a big girl!!
You all know the saying “when life gives you lemons make lemonade”, while in this household the saying goes “when Sara gives you lemons make pisco sours!”
We made it back to Chile last week after a wonderful 6 week visit to the States. Â Penny had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and though we are excited for our next trip home (don’t know when it will be), we are happy to be home. Â I know we are behind on posts from our trip and I promise they are coming, but here’s some pics of Penny back in La Serena. Â I (along with Penny) are very happy with our newest purchase- an outdoor table and chair set for Penelope!
I asked Penny to smile at the camera and check out the pose and smile she gave-
Too bad I didn’t get it in focus, but isn’t she the cutest!!
On Saturday, we headed into the valley for some sun and horseback riding. Â Penny was able to ride with me on the horse for a little bit, which she LOVED, then I headed out with some friends for a trail ride while Penny and Steve explored. Â Can’t wait for Penny to get a little older so she can ride too!!!
