Happy New Year!

We celebrated the New Year our friends.  We started off at our friends Sara and Marcus’ house at 7pm for drinks and appetizers.  It was children friendly, so Penny and some of her friends got to play for a bit.  Then Steve and Penny came home and I went to our friends James and Louisa’s for a party.  New Years day, I awoke to the smell of doughnuts!  Steve had made us some old fashioned doughnuts that were AWESOME!!!! It was the perfect way to start the new year!! Hope everyone has a healthy and happy 2010!!!

Hola

Penny loves talking on her phone.  Now that she’s starting to speak you can actually understand a little of what she’s saying.  She always starts with hola and ends with bye bye.  In between there is a ton of chatter mixed in with a few of the words she knows- Leyna, fish, no, oh yeah.  It’s adorable!!!

Spaghetti

Penny loves spaghetti, and she loves eating it with a big girl fork.  She also has decided that it’s fun to feed me, which to be honest is kinda gross because she gives me the food she doesn’t want so it’s mushed from her playing with it, it’s cold and overall kinda unappetizing.  It’s hard to say no though because as she gives it to you she says “mmmmmm, yummy”!
