Penny, Leyna and I headed off to the beach this morning for our first run with the running stroller (I’ve been using it all along, though not for running). Â I can’t believe it’s taken me almost 8 months to run, but hopefully this is a start. Â We walked/ran 3 miles, though I do have to admit to probably more walking than running, but it’s not all my fault. Â Leyna dog is out of shape too, and I had to pull her at times to keep up with me. Â Penny really seemed to enjoy it and ended up taking a little nap at the end, so Leyna an I relaxed on a bench while she slept. Â

Penny and I spent a wonderful afternoon today with Rikki, Jack and Lyn.  We went to a local rodeo to see Lyn compete (though unfortunately they kept pushing her time back and we ended up having to leave before she rode), but we had a wonderful time anyways.  We started out at the lunch tent and had some terrific cazuela and cervezas and chatted.  After lunch we did a little shopping and got some huaso hats for the babies and then we went and hung out with Lyn, Renegado (her horse) and a bunch of her chilean rodeo friends.  Penny seemed to really like Renegado.  As soon as she saw him she started trying to pet him and she seemed to really enjoy sitting on him.  Penny had a great day and can’t wait to see Lyn compete at the end of March in the semi finals!

The other day, I Came home with a new toy for Penny. Â She wasn’t sure what it was for, but she liked playing with it.

Last weekend Penny, I and the toy went off to Lyn and Patricia’s for the afternoon. Â

And, in the pool we went with the float. Â Penny really seemed to like the water and had fun swimming around in it and playing with Jack. Â She even got dunked, though she didn’t cry, she wasn’t too happy about it. Â We can’t wait to go back and swim again!!

Penny has had a great time getting ready for and celebrating her first Valentine’s day. Â She’s helped me bake and decorate cupcakes and cookies-

She actually spent most of the time hanging out in the dining room with Leyna and playing with her toys while I cooked, but I know she was having fun!

Â

We also attempted to make some homemade valentines to send to everyone, but unfortunately they didn’t come out. Â

So, instead we played in the pool out front.

The best part of Valentine’s Day (other than getting to talk to the Grandparents and Aunt Karin), was Penelope finally got to wear her beautiful  dress, that Grandma and Grandpa Margheim got her for xmas. Â

So, to end this post, PJ wanted you all to know she loves you all and wishes everyone a very happy valentine’s day. Â

(Pretend she’s giving you a hug!!)
Since the weather has been so nice here lately, Steve , Penny and I are taking full advantage of it and hanging out on the patio as much as possible. Â Usually every evening when Steve gets home from work we have a good hour of fun outside. Â Here are some pics from the other day. Â Beware, Penny is dangerously cute!!!
