Last Friday, after much discussion, Penny eagerly awaited a visit by the binky fairy. Penny was a little apprehensive about giving up her binky (which she only used for sleep), but she decided she was a big girl and it was time. She helped make a note for the binky fairy and then placed it on her bedside table with her binkies and some cookies (her idea). She was thrilled when she found a present where she had placed her binkies. A fairy outfit!!

If you are wondering how she is doing, she is doing great without the binkies. From the first night on, she was able to sleep through the night, with just a few tears shed at bedtime. Naptime was a little more difficult, but she seems to be fine now. What a big girl!!

This weekend Steve made the most amazing doughnuts!!  They were some of the best doughnuts I have ever had!!

One day after school last week, Rikki and I took Penny and Jack horseback riding  They loved it and have been asking to go back ever since.

On Tuesday, Jack started his first day of jardin with Penny.  He did really well and as a treat, we headed to the zoo afterwards to feed the goats, rabbits and duck.  Penny and Jack were excited to see that their friend Ben came to the zoo too!!  Luckily, they will be here for a few more weeks, hopefully I can get some better shots of the jardin!!
