to Grams and Grandpa Tom’s we go.
Penelope aced another intercontinental journey from Chile to the US. Â It was a pretty exciting time at the airport. Â TWO big earthquakes were felt from nearby Valparaiso (6.2 and 6.0 magnitude!!) and Penelope loved her first time in a high chair.
Â
Â
Once here in Connecticut, we’ve been settling in around the Christmas tree. Â Penelope already has her eye on some presents with her name on them.

Â
Of course, she is already getting in some good time with Grams and Grandpa Tom. Â

Why the winter hat? Â BECAUSE IT IS COLD AND SNOWY AND NOT THE SUMMER WE LEFT BEHIND. Â We were hoping for a white Christmas, but weren’t expecting the foot of snow we may get tonight!

Not everyone gets to travel from continent to continent, and certainly not before their 3rd month!! Â But then again, Penelope isn’t just an ordinary little girl. Â
Lucky for us and the people around us, she has been a wonderful traveler, mostly sleeping throughout the journey. Â I think she did better than Lisa and I on the overnight flight from Santiago. Â
Penelope’s first flight!
So exciting!!
Bored waiting at the gate…
Riding the train at DFW. Â Wheeee…
Â
Penelope (thanks to her mother) has already developed a taste for the fancier things in life. Â So when we had to travel to Santiago recently for Penelope’s embassy related things, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in the Los Condes area. Â It was pretty fancy-pants and Penelope thinks so too.
Â
Â
Penelope thinks the bed is just about the right size for her. Â Maybe needs a few more pillows.
Â
Of course, we did go to Santiago to visit the embassy to register Penelope’s birth and apply for her passport. Â Things went well and we should be getting her passport very soon!
