On Saturday morning, Grams and Grandpa Tom took Penelope and I to an orchard for some peach and apple picking. Â Penelope had a great time and even picked a couple of peaches herself. Â Penny also got to listen to some nice bluegrass music at the mini-festival at the orchard. Â Penny and I loved the orchard. Â Thanks Grandpa Tom and Grams!

On Friday, Mommy went off to Boston, so PJ and I drove down to Fairfield to visit Cara, Joel, and little William. Â It was so nice being able to hang out with them again! Â We got to try some of Joel’s homebrew (fantastic), and play out in the yard while Joel (with some help from Penny) worked on his hanging hops garden. Â Penny had a great time and really likes to hang out with William. Â So much fun!

Last Thurday, Lisa, Penny, and I heading down to the Philly area to visit Alan, Janet, Ella, and Nate. Â Lisa had just spent over a week with them at the end of July, but I really wanted to get down there and see the whole family, especially since I hadn’t had a chance to meet Nate until then. Â We had a great day with the MacDonalds. Â We went out to lunch (cheesesteaks!) and dessert (Maggie Moo’s!!), and all played outside their wonderful new home. Â It was a shame that I could only see them for an afternoon, but when you live so far away, you take what you can get! Â There are also more pics over at their blog.

I’ve been taking just about every opportunity of my short stay in West Hartford to hang out with Penny. On Tuesday, Penny and I walked down to the park to play. Unfortunately, all the equipment was far too hot for PJ. However, we had a blast in the cool shadows of all the trees in the park. Penelope loves to run around and pick up leaves and sticks. She also loves to share them with everybody. Penny loves the park!
