Salto del Laja
We headed down south this week for a vacation with Grams and had a wonderful time. After a 10 hour drive from La Serena, we arrived in Salto del Laja. Penelope did wonderful in the car and really enjoyed having Grams in back with her. The waterfalls were amazing! Our rooms overlooked the waterfall and we were able to sleep to the sound of the falls all night. Stay tuned for our next adventure!

Aunt Karin and Uncle Adam
Arrived on Saturday evening for a week visit. Penny was so excited to see them and has been playing with them ever since. On Saturday evening we celebrated Adam’s birthday, on Sunday we threw Karin a baby shower, Monday we spent the day together around the house, today (Tuesday) we’re going to Great Grandma’s for the day, Wed we head to Fairfield and on Thursday head up to Maine for the holiday weekend. Obviously, many more updates to come!

(all the pretty ladies at the shower, unfortunately I was pretty busy and wasn’t able to get many pictures, but the shower was awesome!)
(Karin cutting the cake. It was a noah’s ark them shower, so I made the cake in said shape. We also made animal cut out cookies)

On Friday, Mommy went off to Boston, so PJ and I drove down to Fairfield to visit Cara, Joel, and little William. It was so nice being able to hang out with them again! We got to try some of Joel’s homebrew (fantastic), and play out in the yard while Joel (with some help from Penny) worked on his hanging hops garden. Penny had a great time and really likes to hang out with William. So much fun!

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures
I’ve finally gotten around to uploading pictures from our visit the States in October and November. You can view them all on my Picasa Web Gallery. I’m still catching up from then and our most recent trip to the US, so expect more in the coming week. BTW, I’m also updating my photoblog, tinyPHOTONS!

Poor Penny has been feeling a little under the weather today after getting her vaccinations yesterday. She ran a slight fever all night, and has been sleeping off and on all day today. It’s cloudy and cool today, so we’re spending the day snuggling on the couch with Leyna and reading some books. Here are a couple cut pics I took today while we were all relaxing.
“I love you Leynadog, you’re my best friend!!!”

Penelope’s first trip home to the US coincided with one of my most favorite times of year, fall and halloween. Penelope has celebrated both for the past month, though I don’t think she had as much fun as me!!!!
