Imagine It! Children’s Museum of Atlanta

One of our first days in Atlanta, Terry, Steve, Penny and I headed downtown to the Imagine It Museum.  It is geared towards toddlers and it was amazing.  Penny had so much fun learning about recycling, saving energy and playing.  She apparently inherited Steve’s ability to act and was part of a show.  Afterwards, we decided to go to the CNN building for lunch.  On our way through the park, we encountered the fountains (see previous post).  Luckily I had brought a spare set of clothes so Penny was able to play in the water.  She had so much fun, we couldn’t wait to go back, which we did with Mary Jane when we went to the aquarium.

One of Penny’s best days, ever!

One of our last days in Connecticut was probably Penny’s favorite day.  It started off with a boat ride to to other side of the river, then apple picking and then we headed to the carousel one last time.  It was a great day, beautiful weather, and Penny is still talking about it!  Can’t wait for next year!!

Georgia Aquarium

The last time we were in Atlanta, when Penny was around 4 months old, we visited the aquarium. We had such a great time, we’ve been looking forward to bringing Penny back ever since.

Penny last time-

This year-

After the aquarium, we headed over to Olympic Park.  This time we were prepared and brought a swimsuit for Penny (actually 2).  Penny loved running around in the fountains.  It was a wonderful day!

Catching up on Atlanta

while we were visiting with the Margheim’s we were able to go to Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  Penelope really enjoyed seeing all the dinosaurs and animals as did the adults.  There was a great interactive room that Penny had fun exploring.  To top off our wonderful day, we then headed on for lunch at The Varsity, a well known Atlanta diner.  What a perfect day!

Lounging around

As the weather gets nicer and nicer, we are spending more time outside.  We’ve started eating meals outside and Penny has started eating her snacks at her little outdoor table as well.  Steve and Penny gave me a new outdoor sofa set for my birthday and I foresee a summer of lounging on the patio.  Life is good!
