Thanks to Auntie Jill, Penny has a jumpy thingy. Â She loves playing in it, though she hasn’t mastered jumping on her own. Â At the moment we have to help her jump.

Â
Penny is so lucky to have so many little friends here to play with. Â We try to get together as often as possible so the babies can all hang out, and the moms too!! Â Penny’s friends are- Jack (3 months older), Jona (same age), Isidora (3 months younger) and Lucas (3 months younger). Â Here are some pics of Penny with her friends from early play dates (from September) to one of our most recent play dates (2 weeks ago).

After much debate, I decided to make this post. Â I feel horrible, but I feel our story must be told.
 Meet Stubs-

Stubs is now a happy baby, fully mobile and smiley with the use of one hand. Â What happened to the other hand you ask? I tried to cut Penny’s fingernails. Â It was all going well, until she moved. Â Then Penny became Stubs. Â (I cut the tip of her thumb).

Thankfully my background in nursing really helped (helped me go running over to Sara’s asking what should I do????). Â Penny was a trooper though. Â She only cried for a brief moment, then stared at Sara, Marcus and I as we looked at her thumb and put a bandage on it. Â To prevent her from getting at it I put a sock over her hand and found a long sleeved onesie that had mitts on the end of the sleeves. Â Folded said mitt over the sock, and voila. Â STUBS!!!!!
Penny, Leyna and I headed off to the beach this morning for our first run with the running stroller (I’ve been using it all along, though not for running). Â I can’t believe it’s taken me almost 8 months to run, but hopefully this is a start. Â We walked/ran 3 miles, though I do have to admit to probably more walking than running, but it’s not all my fault. Â Leyna dog is out of shape too, and I had to pull her at times to keep up with me. Â Penny really seemed to enjoy it and ended up taking a little nap at the end, so Leyna an I relaxed on a bench while she slept. Â
