Grams had a mexican themed work party on Thursday, so she and Penny made Mexican Wedding Balls to bring for the bake off. Â Penny and Grams won a prize for tastiest cookie, and I must agree, they were SCRUMPTIOUS!
Ever since learning how to make homemade perogi’s from my friend Dominika, I’ve been wanting to make them for my Grandma. Â Penny, Grams and I made a batch to bring down for lunch and they were a hit! Â My Grandma thought they were some of the best she’s had and we’re already planning our next visit down when 4 generations of polish ladies will make them all together!!
Penny has gotten to hangout with William, Cara and Joel a bunch since we’ve been in town. Â Luckily William’s daycare vacation coincided with our visit so we were able to spend a lot of time together. Â They came down to Philly for the Sunday bbq, came up to West Hartford for a few days and we went and spent some time at their beach cottage as well!! Â Can’t wait for next summer to get here!
Penny and I headed down to Philly last Friday to spend a long weekend with the Mac Donald’s.  Steve flew in on Saturday night  and Penny was so happy to see him.  We had an amazing time seeing everyone and playing with all the kids.  Thank you so much Jan and Al for such a great time.  We can’t wait to reciprocate your hospitality when you come down to Chile!!  Love you guys!!!  On a side not, I did not take many pictures so if anyone has any, please forward them on to me!!!!
One of my fondest memories when I was young was spending a special day with my mom when she would take the day off from work. My mom and I were excited to take Penny on a girls day out while we were home. We decided to go to the Yankee Candle flagship store and then to the outlets for some shopping. Penny was in heaven at Yankee Candle. The store is christmas themed and has an area with snow falling on the trees. Penny loved seeing everything- from the christmas villages, meeting Santa, christmas decorations, smelling the candles, watching the trains and playing in the snow. We had so much fun that we’re hoping to make it a yearly tradition!
