Penny was so excited for her play date with Lauren on Thursday. Lauren’s mom, Anne Marie and I have been friends since middle school. It was so nice to sit back and reminisce and catch up while our daughters played together. We went to Flamig Farm where Penny and Lauren could play and feed the animals. I can’t believe this was my first time going here, I loved it! Teddy really enjoyed it as well, his favorite were the llamas, of course! I can’t wait to go back again!
Though we re having a wonderful time on our super long (almost 4 month) vacation, Penny misses her friends soooooo much! She was so happy to Skype with Ben last night, and will hopefully Skype with Jona this weekend!
On Tuesday, we went out to lunch to A C Petersen’s, a restaurant we went to throughout my childhood. They have some of the best ice cream! Teddy enjoyed being a big boy and eating his lunch with us, no more watching us eat! We got ice cream for dessert, and Penny was excited to give Teddy his first taste.
Tuesday morning the kids and I headed to the park in between rain showers. Teddy used some of the equipment for the first time, and Penny was excited to help him o down all the slides. When we came home, we found Grams busy in the garden, so Penny threw on her gloves and helped Grams plant some herbs.
The weather hasn’t been the best lately. It has been raining off and on since Friday. In between the showers, Penny has been bust helping Grams in the garden. She was able to pick some broccoli and the first strawberry of the season. In the evening, we were able to Skype with Papi before he flew back to chile. Steve was able to see Teddy eating watermelon for he first time and talk with us while Teddy had a bath in the sink. He is getting so big, that soon he won’t fit!
