Guanaqueros
On Sunday we headed to the beach with our friends Sandra and Jeff. Originally we had planned to go to Las Tacas, but when we arrived we were told by the guards that it was closed. So we continued south a little bit and ended up at Guanaqueros. we spent the afternoon at the beach and had lunch at a restaurant with a spectacular view. It was a wonderful day!
St. Patty’s Day
To celebrate today (though we really went because it is a beautiful Saturday), we went to the zoo and the beach with Katy, Ben and Charlotte. The kids were very well behaved, though everyone is suffering from a little cold. Penny and Ben had a great time running around and feeding the animals, and Teddy had fun hanging out in the Ergo on my back (first time for him).
Friday fun
We had a fantastic time today, celebrating Penny’s last day of summer break. We had a lazy morning at home, then we all went to Penny’s favorite restaurant for lunch (McD’s), then Penny and Mommy headed to the beach with Suzy and played on the inflatable toys, then we met up with some friends for drinks and the kids played in the sand and ocean, and then we went and saw a dinosaur exhibit. Penny had a wonderful time with everyone. When we got home, she told Papi all about her adventures. Her favorite part was playing in the ocean. Maybe we’ll head back to the beach over the weekend.
Las Tacas
Saturday morning we headed to Las Tacas, a resort about 20 mins from here. We had never been, but heard wonderful things about it. It was a beautiful! We stayed at the restaurant all day, which is right on the beach. We had amazing food, good pisco sours, fun in the sun, Penny got to swim in the pool. It felt like we were at a beautiful resort in the caribbean, with crystal blue water, white soft sand beach and a relaxed atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back!!
