Christmas Morning

Early on Christmas morning (but not that early), Penelope awoke to her first Christmas.

Hard to tell if Mom or baby is more excited in their Christmas caps.

Penelope soon found herself dwarfed and surrounded by all the presents in the stockings.

Just about everywhere was bursting with presents.  All eyes on Penelope!

Penelope, along with everyone else,  had a great time opening presents and Penelope really loved her new toys and clothes.  Santa and everyone was very very nice to Penelope (and us too!).

Eventually the excitement of the day took its toll and Penelope took a nap, even before all the presents could be opened.

In the middle of opening gifts, we had a wonderful breakfast.  Christmas morning was close to perfect and only marred by the absence of Grandpa and Grandma Margheim and Uncle Adam.

Part two with the rest of Christmas coming soon…

Penny Hill Goes Sledding!

Just as the snow from the last storm was melting away, we got another 5-6 inches on Wednesday and Lisa dragged us all out to play.

Hard to tell if this is excitement or terror

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Inside the Cookie Factory

To those that know the Foleys, it should be no surprise that this week has been filled with cookie making.  Now well into our third day of baking, the plan is for at least 12 types of cookies.  I suspect that number may go up by one or two by the time all is baked and done.

And here are some of the results. If you think they look good, you should see how they taste!

At home with the Foley Family Players

There is always music in the air at the Foley house, and this Christmas has been no exception.  When holiday music isn’t being played over the stereo, the Foley’s are busy making music themselves.  Grams has been playing the violin for 2.5 years, and Grandpa Tom has more recently picked up the viola, which has been Karin’s instrument for many, many years.

Here are some pictures of Karin and Bernadette serenading the family:

All that music puts Penelope into a great mood.

Last night, Penny Jean even joined in and sang along…
